Original Quilt Pattern design by Arlene Lane is another example of a folk art applique quilt. The shapes and forms have been used by many cultures. They are famoliar shapes and are pleasing to most Applique enthusiast. Quilt size is 46" x 48 3/4". Suitable for machine or hand applique.

Slovenian Splendor

Original quilt pattern design by Arlene Lane. In Slovenia, as with other European cultures, the women would embroider their costumes with bright colored flowers and shapes. I transposed some of these shapes into applique and arranged them into a pleasant layout and designed the quilting to fit the quilt. Quilt size is 35"x 41". Suitable for machine or hand applique.

Springtime Sonnet Quilt Patterns

There are twelve original block designs by Arlene Lane, in the Springtime Sonnet series. However, each individual pattern works nicely on it's own. The log cabin quilt pictured here to showcase the appliqued blocks is not included with the patterns. The appliqued blocks can be a wonderful Block of the Month project for teachers and shop owners as an album quilt. Pictured below are patterns one through twelve.
